Products I Wouldn't Buy Again

Hey Guys!

Today I'm going to be talking about some beauty products I've bought that I don't necessarily think are bad products, but just don't suit me or I wouldn't by again for different reasons.

Face
Makeover Essentials Shimmer Powder - This brand isn't available in the UK until December I believe, but they were doing some promotional work in my local shopping mall. I bough this shimmer powder as it look interesting, but it just covers your face in what looks like glitter and doesn't look good at all.

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer - I bought this because they didn't have erase paste in my shade and I was desperate for a good under-eye concealer. This concealer is great for spots, but I very rarely get spots and when I do, I get one really small one. I'm quite fortunate when it comes to my skin. I wanted this for under eyes but it creases and wears away so easily, and the price just isn't worth the rare occasion I get a spot.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Shimmer Touch 004 - I don't know whether this just isn't a good shade for my skin, but I find it hard to blend in and I just end up with an orange streak on my cheek bones. Not good!

Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush - This brush came as part of the core collection but I wouldn't buy it separately. I don't know how anyone could apply a face of foundation with this brush as it is so small and impossible to blend with. I just use it to apply setting powder under my eyes so I don't feel like it's gone to waste.

Lips
MAC 'Speak Louder' - This is a good quality lipstick with great pigmentation just like all the other MAC lipsticks. But I have found an identical dupe for this which I wrote about here that is just as good as this lipstick!

Revlon Lipgloss 'Kiss Me Coral' - I'll admit that I bought this purely because Tanya Burr raved about it a couple of months ago,but this colour just doesn't suit my pale skin tone and look really strange on my lips.

Rimmel Apocalips 'Nude Eclipse' - I love the Apocalips range from Rimmel, but this colour washes out my skin as it is a very true nude with no hints of pink. I look like I'm walking round with concealer on my lips. Eeek!

I hope you've enjoyed this post and I have decided starting from Wednesday that I will be posting every Wednesday and Sunday :)

Bye Guys xo

  1. I always used to think Benefit products were really worth the amount they costed but apart from their mascara and primer I think everything else of theirs is quite overpriced for what it is. Lovely post xx

  7. Shame that you dont agree with the mac lipstick, I have that shade and loveeeee it but I guess not everyones the same and what suits one person doesnt another otherwise we would all look the same ey! I wasnt a fan of that real techniques brush either, well not for a foundation brush. as a concealer brush it tends to do the trick
